Product Description

When a relationship ends, you ask; Why did this happen? When will this pain end? Why do I pick the lovers I do? Will I ever love again? Why is it so difficult to keep one love for a lifetime? Daphne Rose Kingma's book shares a new view of why we fall in and out of love, and why this painful process is not only natural, but essential if we are to find true love. Her gentle wisdom takes the blame and fear out of the ending of a love affair, and restores it as a life-giving experience.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gives answers to why the pain is needed to continue forward., 29 Mar 1999
By A Customer
After 34 years of marriage I now understand why my marriage has come to an end. The process of growing continues and the pain is necessary to make room for improvement if we are willing to learn from our past.

4.0 out of 5 stars Helps you understand the evolution of relationships, 15 May 1998
By A Customer
I read this book at the end of a 10 year relationship. I also shared it with my ex-lover. It helped tremendously not only in healing the pain but in understanding why the union had run its course. The information I gleaned helped the relationship to transform to a friendship, eased the guilt I felt and helped us both understand and appreciate the beauty of what we had shared. Eight years later, I still remember this book profoundly and recommend it on every occassion I can.

5.0 out of 5 stars Extremely helpful and insightful!, 7 Jan 1999
By A Customer
As I am going through the breakup of my 32 year old marriage, it is as though I am walking in a pitch dark place, not knowing whether I am dead or alive. This book has given me the comfort and support I need to know that I am not alone, and that there are steps that I can go through toward healing of this devastating pain. It has been only 6 days since the breakup, so I have not even began to heal, and this book is like my life-line. Thank you Ms. Kingma for writing this book! Anyone who can share their words of wisdom about their breakup and healing experiences will be appreciated.
