Motherpeace - the Peace of the Mother - is reflected in these cards. Free of competitive thought, power search and manipulative behaviour, this set of cards celebrates human experience of life in a community of living beings in all its aspects.

The Minor Arcana , relating to the daily life inside the four corners of the earth, tell stories of tribal people, of their tasks, relationships, celebrations and rites of passage. The images touch deep seated memories inside the psyche, reminding us of human needs and ways which we have in common with all people on the planet. This celebration of our common humanness can heal the alienation between the races and restore the peace we all long for.

The 21 cards of the Major Arcana , representing the Archetypal patterns of soul tasks, again relate to all of humankind, reminding us of the secrets behind our existence. The journey of the soul is told in symbolical pictures that touch the deeper levels of our being, awakening a knowledge of mystical dimension.

As you might have guessed by now - I love these cards...

I use this deck for very special solemn occasions, when more physical and spiritual healing inspiration is needed. There is something about this deck which inspires great reverence for Life.

I prefer the smaller deck because the cards fit very comfortably in the palm of my hand. There are two illustrators of these cards--half the deck illustrated by each, and I am able to read the drawings of one illustrator more easily than the other.
