I found this text to be an incredibly useful 'first contact' with Win2K. Having not being involved on the beta programme, I have been able to pick up and understand Win2K server solely from using the product and working through this book.

I hold an NT4 track MCSE and so have read a fair amount of official Microsoft text, including MOC. In comparison, this book is one of the better that Microsoft have produced.

Buy it.

Covers a great deal of ground - far more than I was questioned on in the exam. However, another pass. The step-by-step examples are well done and do add value. Easy to read too.

Just passed my win2k exam today. Have read through this book. from start to end. It givces you a good foundation of 2000 server, but you also need more material. The ms books are getting better ! The unattended session is VERY easy to follow and I can recomend this one.
