Product Description

Synopsis

Plenty of literature exists on good parenting, but parents learn little about emotional obstacles to following the advice. Schemas can be rigid enough to enslave, so the authors show readers how to initiate change by analyzing schemas, identifying triggers and thoughts, and monitoring recurrences.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Read, 28 Aug 2002
By A Customer
At last a great self-help book on helping parents understand how we all get trapped into certain ways of thinking, feeling and behaving. Based on sound theory and research, the book explores different parenting styles and offers effective ways of changing negative patterns by changing the way we think about ourselves and our children. Much needed advice which will be liberating. Well worth a read!!
