When I was a child I recognized that while the earth was full of beauty it was also dangerous. From the fists of cruel youth and the teeth of vicious dogs, I soon learned that the same body which felt the gentleness of the wind and the warmth of the sun was subject to pain and suffering inflicted from the outside. I also sensed something else. I felt that there was a power within me that was greater than any force outside of me. In church I was taught, "He who was within me is greater than he who is without." I decided to put it to the test. I gave my life to this quest, and one day my mind exploded in a light which engulfed my body. The Soul Sword was mine. No longer was there anyone to fear for its blade reached from earth to heaven. My own body was its scabbard. Year after year, decade after decade this inner-sword stood the test. The book, Soul Sword, is my gift to you, to anyone who has ever feared an abusive power. Seize the hilt of the soul sword for yourself and become a guardian of the peace.
