I love this book and have all three published versions (Australian, English and American) - which are exactly the same apart from the spelling of the word 'colour/color' on the cover! WELL worth buying. The coloured photographs are most informative and very extensive, but I do not agree with all the stated colour 'names'. The gene loci designations, proposed genotype formulae and predictions are a bit 'inventive' and open to question, but that is part of the value of this book. It will teach you a lot and make you think and ask questions. The one problem is that no-one really has the answers. The 'science' of colour genetics in horses changes constantly and varies greatly worldwide which is most confusing for persons seeking knowledge in this subject. But, one has to start somewhere and this book is a fascinating read.
