This is a black & white, paperback collection of the final Pokemon Adventures series. And it's amazing! Like the previous two volumes, Saffron City Siege continues the engrossing storyline of Red (the original Ash Ketchum) as he battles to become a Pokemon Master & stop Team Rocket (and these Rockets are baaad! Not like the two idiots in the cartoon!) from creating a biological Poke-weapon! As usual, the artwork is first-class with all of the characters beautifully drawn and shaded! The storyline does justice to the original Gameboy game & is much more interesting and complex. In this volume Ash teams up with Blue & Green to stop Team Rocket once and for all, who have invaded Saffron City! After the thrilling battle he meets up with Blaine to capture the rogue Mewtwo, then he meets Giovanni the head of Team Rocket and fights to gain possession of the final Badge! Then the last chapters involve the Pokemon League as Red & Blue go head to head - but who emerges victorious? And then, sadly, it's the end with a gorgeous final frame of artwork - and remember, Pokemon Adventures continues in Yellow Caballero with a new character! ...By the way, it's cheaper to buy this volume than buy all six comics!
