These examples of the designer's work, include his hand-drawn typeface designs. His work has been juxtaposed with over 900 polaroids of vernacular signage and symbols taken by the artist over many years, which serve not only as a record of vernacular signage but also of inspiration for Fella's own works.

When I first saw this book I thought that maybe it was too many pictues and not enough words... but after closer inspection I found that it is a valuable resource for almost all graphical work involving typefaces. Not only that though - it provides a new aspect on how we view America itself, showing the more fake, advertising controlled world it can be. A most enjoyable visual experience, this is a book for everyone from Graphitti lovers to Artistic wannabes. Plus its gives its own DIY theme - because after all, anyone can use a polariod!
