5.0 out of 5 stars How can this book only be on 3&1/2 stars?!?!?! , 10 May 2006
Read the comment in the title to see how i feel about the rating it has at the moment...ok..i know "for the roses" is a big favorite for Julie Garwood fans...but for me personally..i read "come the spring" before that book..and i prefer this book....cole is just an amazing character and when i went back and read 'for the roses' i was glad to see his fab characteristics were in that book too.
This book has an great storyline..and personally i love all Julie Garwoods book as i know when i read one i won't be bored by it or cringing at the way the story pans and and therefore disapointed..with Julies books its the opposite..you become delighted when you read them as they have fab twists and turns you didn't expect..and are basically just a fab read...the best form of escapism.
If you like J.G's books...definately purchase this one..you won't be dissapointed...if you haven't read a J.G book before..you'd still love this one if you read it but i'd recommend starting with "heartbreaker" if you like contemporarys...and i don't care what any stupid people review that book at..its amazing..that book is the book that started me reading with vigour...or if you like your historicals...my personal favorite is "ransom" but most peoples is "the bride" which is high up on my favourite list.
Hope you liked the essay!! lol...i'm a massive J.G fan..bet you can't tell ;-)

4.0 out of 5 stars A really good read, 20 Jan 1999
By A Customer
This was quite a good conclusion to the Clayborne saga, though there was't really any in put from the rest of the family as the previous books provided. I did like the feisty Jessica looking out for her adopted son, and the stronger than you think Grace. Cole was as lovely as ever, and Daniel, who could resist liking him when he's so much like Cole! All together a good book, though it seems more on it's own than part of a series.

5.0 out of 5 stars I LOVED IT!!!, 3 Nov 1998
By A Customer
What a great book! I totally fell in love with Cole and Ryan. I admired the bravery and spirit displayed by Rebecca and Grace. Talk about matches made in heaven! As usual, Garwood provides us with another heart-stopping book. It gave me a glimpse of the Clayborne family. I recently purchased the CLAYBORNE BRIDES. I'll soon get to know the rest of the Claybornes. If you like action, gorgeous hunky clever men, and strong women, this book is for you. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing conclusion.
I loved JG's 'For the Roses' and so I had high expectations for this long awaited book. However, although I enjoyed the book I did feel somewhat cheated not to have more scenes... Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars FOR THE ROSES huge disappointment; no homecoming of Mama.
I dearly love all of Julie Garwood's books. I'd be hardpressed to say which was my favorite, but I think "For The Roses" is pretty close and was so disappointed in the... Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars COME THE SPRING has nothing to do with it's storyline.
Overall, COME THE SPRING is a "must read" if you are a Garwood fan, as I am. However, if you are a beginner then please begin with THE PRISE, THE SECRET, or THE BRIDE... Read more
