4.0 out of 5 stars charming realisation of Welsh patroitism and village life, 18 Jun 2001
By A Customer
When two Englishmen arrive in the small village of Fynon Garw, the village is intrigued by what these two characters are up to!! It pans out that they are there to measure the local mountain and obtain weather its actually a mountain and not a hill. After some debate the two Englishmen pronounce it a hill to the amazement of the village folk. The village folk then pull out all the stops to ensure the Englishmen stay around as they amazingly raise the level of the hill to mountain status using raw courage, sweat and pride The story highlights Welsh village life and local characters. There is even a hint of romance as one of the Englishmen falls for a local darling!!

A truly lovely, story of passion and honesty set in the early part of the century.
