Enjoyed reading through this book, the content is light hearted and very informative. It doesn't go into great detail about setting up extra components such as external libraries but that information is readily available from online sources.

The book covers many of the basics that were covered in the previous edition as well as going into more advanced methods and techniques, its good to read through it and keep it there for refference.

It will teach the basics of the C++ language and nothing more, introducing STL, vectors, containers etc. and promotes a good coding style. This book is for beginners with a little knowledge. By the end you will know how to make command line applications and nothing more.
