A brilliantly written book thats impossible to put down as you follow Britians most leathal enforcer, the notorious ex IRA man Sean Dillion. On a fast moving explosive plot with the destiny of Hong Kong at stake, the book could'nt be better.

I'm so disappointed. This author is said to be a literary giant, the brilliant young author Stephen Leather begged him to endorse his own novels, but frankly, Leather is better by a long way, as is Terence Strong. The basic plot idea is intriguing; a long lost document signed by Mao Tse Tung and Lord Mountbatten during WW2 extending British tenure of Hong Kong in exchange for war materiel. However, the characterisations are weak to the point of laughable with a central hero who becomes more like Superman with each installment, there are a further ten books to date in this series but I don't see myself buying any more until senility sets in, what a shame.

I won this on a BBC radio show, I had to answer a simple question, I had never heard of Hack Higgins before I got the book. I enjoyed the book very much and have gone on to read many others by him and look forward to more.
