This is the best book in my son's collection and beats anything that I have found in Mothercare or or any other high street shop. Every page (including the front cover) has a spot that is either very tactile or shiny. My son's absolute favourite is the net curtain in the kitchen which he returns to again and again. The story is simple, short and rhythmic so easy and interesting for baby to listen to.Illustrations are colourful and attractive. The book is of good quality and thoughtfully presented (eg. padded edges with rounded corners) and is nice to hold. My son was only 4 months old when we got this book (below the age for which it is intended) but he enjoyed looking at it (and feeling the net curtain!). Now he is 9 months old and getting more out of it in terms of noticing and identifying objects in the pictures (eg. the cat, dog and the teddy), and actively turning the pages to find his favourite things. This is definitely his favourite and mine too! (For what it's worth, his second favourite book is another Lamaze book called Noisy Baby - this series is definitely worth checking out!).
