Conforti explains the basic tools of Microstation with perfect clarity-to a beginner as I was I could't recommend this book more highly. I am an architecture student and many people on my course use this book. If you want information about surface or rendering tools at the same standard then look elsewhere. Some discussion of printing, particularly to scale, would also be something to seek from other sources even if you buy this book.

Inside MicroStation 95 has helped me considerably to understand how to operate MicroStation. Before I read this book I had no previous knowledge of any other CAD software. Now I feel completely confident using MicroStation. As an architecture student, I don't have much time to sit around and read thousand-page books that confuse more than help me. Inside Microstation was easy to read and understand, and I finished it in about 2 weeks.
