1.0 out of 5 stars Don't bother!, 5 Sep 2006

Just bought this book and really I wouldn't bother, the illustrations/pickies are very outdated and anyone with an ounce of brain would work out most of the 'tips' in it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as i thought, 13 Jan 2005
By A Customer
The ideas in this book are really good, if you are starting costuming and dont want to spend a lot of money or time this is a good book, but it does have some problems. A good point of the book is that it gives you something to do with some old clothes but many of the original clothes in the book are quite hard to come by, there not just old clothes you're likely to find in your wardrobe. The biggest problem i found were the pictures in the book, there are no colour pictures. Each costume has a hand drawn illustration which is good but pictures of the original garment and finished garment are very small and difficult to see. You don't get a good idea of what the costume should look like.

3.0 out of 5 stars Dress me now!!, 3 April 2008
As already stated lots of the items used in the making of the costumes would be difficult yo come by in UK and certainly not at the prices paid. Some handy hints & ideas but not a great buy.
