5.0 out of 5 stars This is the most complete Motif programming manual I've read, 5 April 2000
By A Customer
This is a very complete book that covers all the necesary aspects needed to program in Motif. It has many code examples that clarify any obscure or more technical matters. Overall excelent. I would recommend you this book if you are new to Motif or if you need a lookup reference.

5.0 out of 5 stars The definitive Motif book - O'Reilly do it again!, 27 Oct 1998
By A Customer
Following on from their other excellent X programming books, this is easily the best Motif book available. It covers all the core widgets in detail, with consistently good examples. I find the sections on UIL particularily useful, a subject not covered in many Motif books.

In short: if you need an all round Motif manual and reference, then get this. The accompanying Motif Reference (Volume 6B) is not so essential, however).
