Product Description

As former owners of a New England bed and breakfast, Frank and Fran Sullivan have examined each establishment in their book with a keen and knowing eye, ensuring that those chosen to be listed meet the most exacting standards. 2.0 out of 5 stars For any season this book is not very useful., 22 Feb 1999
By A Customer
I just arrived home from Ireland and this book does not contain enough information to be very useful. The authors do not cover every county or all of the larger towns in Ireland. I was informed that B&B owners had to pay to be included in the book. The book does not give many useful tips for traveling during the different seasons. The few B&B's included in this book that were open were first rate. If you plan to travel during the winter months call ahead to be sure that the B&B mentioned is open "off season." During spring and summer don't wait; call ahead to the B&B's mentioned and book your rooms especially in Dublin.

2.0 out of 5 stars Book was alright but the B&B's recommended were first class., 7 April 2000
By A Customer
I thought the book itself was not great at giving those vital bits of information that acomplete stranger needs i.e. cultural differences etc. However the B&B's were top class. I must agree with one of the other online reviewers because Dunauley Guesthouse in Bantry is situated on the edge of Paradise. Absolutely sublime setting with glorious views.

3.0 out of 5 stars Very Informative, I used it to plan my every move in Ireland, 28 Mar 2000
By A Customer
I thought the book was nicely written and was very easy to follow it. The best guesthouse I stayed in was in Bantry, Co. Cork called "Dunauley". I will be forever indebted to the authors for recommending that B&B as it was the best. The others guesthouses that i stayed in (about 3 ) were good locations also.
