This is by no means the best of an excellent guide book series. Cadogan are guide books for those who do not merely want a guide book yellow pages - they are well-written, contain quirky and amusing information on and off the beaten track.

Likemost of the others in the series, Southern Spain does not look as good as some of its competitors. Don't judge any of them by their geography textbook style covers....
