3.0 out of 5 stars Very good buy worth the money!!, 20 Oct 2003
By Mr. Lgt Marsons "mam1st" (London, England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This was one of my first books I read on the subject of witchcraft and strangely enough was bought for me by my Nan while we were on holiday! Although it was a very good book I do not think it is for the immediate beginner or anyone just starting their studies on the craft because she does not really offer any Wiccan ethics or much work on tools or celebrations. She seems to just go straight onto spells, she has a great section on candles (seven day candles, devil candles-used to repel not summon the devil)and gives a very good section on black magick, she expalins that it is very real and just because you dont believe it does not mean nothing can affect you. She tells the readers about hex death ( being killed by a curse) , it is the one who is cursed that decides their fate not the curser with an extreme self- esteem problem. She tells you various hand gestures used to curse people and gives lots of spells of how to free yourself from a hex or curse. But for all the twerps that got excited at the aspect of a black magick section it does not tell you how to summon up demonic entities to do your bidding, kill someone with a few latin words or curse an annoying teacher- you are seriously missing the point and should see a doctor! All of you that are interested in true witchcraft buy this book when you are much experienced that a immediate beginner. Blessed Be!
