Product Description

Product Description

What is tsog? It's the "Tsarist Occupational Government", those wonderful folks in Washington B.C. (oops, sorry, that's D.C.) who, Of Course, always have your best interest at heart. Of course. "TSOG" is Bob's most powerful political statement to date. What is happening Right Now to human freedom? What in the world is the U.S. doing with a drug TSAR(!) who routinely and gleefully destroys millions of lives and bullies the governments of the rest of the world into prosecuting an insane war on (some) drugs? How did a Nazi spy come to have an enormous influence on current U.S. foreign policy? Will the 'war on terrorism' put the last nail in the coffin of Your rights? Would Hannibal Lecter make a better president than George W. Bush? Bob's keen wit skewers those who are forcing us all into slavery, and warns us that there is little time left. How long will it be before Bob's books are banned as 'literary terrorism'?

5.0 out of 5 stars A conspiracy theory more entertaining and logical than most, 11 Jun 2003
Robert Anton Wilson, who is an avid collector of conspiracy theories (see his book "Everything is Under Control" written with Miriam Joan Hill - a compendium of conspiracies wierd and plausible, in alphabetical order) has decided to work out his own theory as to how the U.S. got hijacked by both the bureaucracy and corporations of america. He retains an agnostic view as to the truth of it, reckoning it to fit occams razor (the hypothesis that fits the known facts with the least supposition is the best), but conceding that other theories may fit.
Bob open's this book with a 'contract' with the reader where he states that the reader is under no obligation to believe anyhing therein, but must promise to neither believe nor disbelieve without due consideration, and ending with the words "Let communication berween us begin".
This book is very personal in nature, drawing on Bob's personal experiences, as well as his interpretations of, and musings on information as it comes in.
Despite the seriousness of many of the issues discussed, Bob retains a light, satirical style throughout (if you didn't laugh at some of this you'd cry) including supplying reasons why Hannibal Lector would be a better and more legitimate President than Dubya.
The name of the conspiracy, TSOG (TSarist Occupation of Government) may, in part be a send-up of ZOG (Zionist Occupation of Government). It is also inspired by the existence of a Drugs "Tsar", and by the intelligence on the Soviet Union provided to the CIA by a network of "Mystical Tsarists" via ex-nazi General Reinhard Gehlen, who, by surrendering early, and bringing a dowry of intelligence on the Soviets, became a U.S. army General within a week.
One minor fly in the ointment is his repeating the Mariah Carey "Starving Kid's" "Love to be like that" canard, but a book is not a curate's egg, and "excellent in parts" (or nearly all)is still very good.
Strongly recommended to all his fans.
