This book has probably the best set of preparatory exercises for Tantra I have ever seen.Very potent and extremely useful for exploring the physical basis of your psychological stances.Most authors completely ignore the prep phase and encourage you to dive right into "tantric sex".There is a bit of a slog though to get past Hyatt's own idiosyncratic belief system(you can treat this as a test if you like).Still worth the money for the prep exercises alone.

A pretty amazing book really. The first couple of chapters are really Dr Hyatt's philosophy and, really you can take it or leave it. What is more important are the exercises that he provides.

Now I have only done the preliminary exercises and I have to agree with the previous reviewer that the book is worth it for these alone. They are pretty mind blowing in their effect. I have done 'energetic' work with other systems like yoga and Tai Chi, but this outstrips them by quite a distance. I can't explain why they wor either, not by any scientific reasoning anyway. They do not involve any weird yogic stances or difficult postures, just breathing, simple postures and a bit of attention. They really are simple. In some ways you look at them and think, "Is that it? How is that going to do anything?". But they do.

I am looking forward to do further work with this book and can highly recommend it. Buy the book, DO THE EXERCISES, explore and enjoy.
