5.0 out of 5 stars An absolute must for every new family., 17 Oct 1998
By A Customer
This book is a lifesaver for anybody with children. When I bought this book, I just had my first baby. Lack of organization has thrown our household back with tons of chores piling up every week. This book has given me a lot of good ideas about the way to run a house smoothly. The best thing about it - you do not have to do it all in one day. The author stresses out that you can do it bit by bit and you will eventually get to a clean well-organised home.

The most valuable thing for me was the idea of a monthly planner. It does not matter if you are a busy professional or a housewife. To catch the bull by the horns you ought to have one.

One more thing, after reading the book you will understand that there no picture-perfect homes (of course, if somebody lives there). If your house is, and you are a clean-it-all slave of it, read this book. It will help you ease your cleaning passion and start enjoying life instead.

I am planning to stock up on a few copies of the book. Next time I am invited to a wedding, I will have an exellent addition to a present.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Excellent, 17 Feb 2003
By A Customer
Even though it sounds like a real housewifey book!!! The principles of this book can be applied to everything in life. Denise schofield has some excellent ideas that can be put into practice easily, in the home and also in the office. My high flying exec friend was laughing at me but promptly put some of her ideas into practice !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thoroughly recommend this book there is something in it for everybody.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a help!, 30 Jun 2005
By A Customer
When I nearly missed my son's school play, having failed to book tickets, and then managed to triple-book the entire family one Sunday, I began to panic. I thought I was good at juggling, but I was beginning to drop more and more balls - was it premature Alzheimers?

Thankfully not, as this helpful, albeit very Americanised (and what's wrong with that?), book showed me. Trying to carry the whole family's arrangements in my mind and stuck to the fridge was literally doing my head in, never mind keeping me awake. Deneice's (yes, that's how she spells it) time planner owes more than a little to the Swedish Time Manager (TM) system, but it is highly effective.

The book is full of helpful suggestions. Take it as you need it; you don't have to be a slave to all her ideas, but they are all practical, sensible, and easily adapted to your life. Having been trained from birth to keep almost anything you could think of 'just in case' (like boxes, bubble wrap, wire twists, old broken furniture, baby clothes, etc) I find throwing things out a real challenge, but with a bit of hand-holding from this book I am recovering! (And that makes my husband very happy!) Thank you Deniece - I'm sleeping a whole lot better and the house is already looking a lot less cluttered.
