2.0 out of 5 stars Good title no substance, 17 Nov 1998
By A Customer
The title Diving On The Edge implies that you'll receive new cutting edge dive information. That's not the case here, the book contains nothing really new regarding dive equipment and care, dive technique, dive locations or dive experiences. It's basiclly a truncated rehash of very elementary information, ready available from other sources. (see section on equipment especially snorkel selection)

The book did contain some good safety advice and is written in a style that most divers will probably relate to. Better research and more detail is badly needed. Definately not "cutting edge" material

2.0 out of 5 stars There are better books out there, 21 Aug 2001
By A Customer
I was disappointed with this book, it didn't give anything away and the title is not a helpful guide to the contents of the book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well worth the money!, 16 Aug 2000
By A Customer
This book is easy reading and has lots of well presented facts and advice. Of particular interest is the initial section on the effect that divers have on the marine environment and how we as divers should protect it. Well worth the money for divers old and new...
