If like me, you've always wanted to own a Jeep but found the mechanical side daunting this book will help. Especially when coupled with a Haynes/Chiltons. The style is easy to read (although it does sometimes assume you know at least a little) and will encourage the 'I know where the fuel goes and thats it' mechanic to have a go. It will give you a good start in understanding the language of engines and you will be able to participate in Jeep conversations. I know I can't wait for my wife to go away so I can use the kitchen table to rebiuild the Carb.
On the down side the photgraphs can be a little confusing but Haynes/Chiltons will help and the book is American so they occaisionally use American not English (and the wife isn't going away until Nov.)
