You would think a book with a sub-title of "How to restore 1949-1967 VW Beetles to Original Factory Condition" might indicate this book would tell you how to do just that. You would be wrong. This is nothing more than a collection of disparate articles. I cannot see the relevance of chapters titled "Installing Power Windows & Door Locks", "Weber IDA Carb Conversion Kit" or "Porting and Polishing Single Port Heads" to vintage restoration! The internet is full of documented restorations that are far more relevant and better organised than this book. Spend your money elsewhere.
