As books go this one really does 'exactly what it says on the tin'. The descriptions are concise with accompanying photographs to aid the explanation. A step by step guide for the amateur, this takes you through the strip down, part identification and interchangeability with other Mopar engines, and rebuild.
If you are considering rebuilding one of these engines but have keenness over competence, this is the book for you. The only reason I did not give it five stars is that some times the narrative skips explanations of small procedures, assuming you know how to do them already. A quick call to your local garage can generally clear up any confusion, but some times this is a pain. Also this is just a rebuild book and does not cover any improvements that could be made on the rebuild. Buy it in conjunction with "Big Block Mopar Performance" by Chuck Senatore and you have the perfect paring.
