You CAN build a reliable, fuel efficient 11 second Camaro! The secret to building a reliable, high-horsepower '82-'92 Camaro is in the computer chip and the camshaft profile. You can install any engine combination with EFI and make great power if the PROM chip is properly programmed. You should also use a camshaft profile with as little overlap as possible, preferably ground on 114 degree lobe centers. This allows greater vaccum signals and better computer compatability. My '91 Z/28, on the cover of the book, has a 434 cubic inch small block with an Accel SuperRam intake. It runs 10.90's and handles better than a new Corvette. You can do this too, with the right combination of parts. Don't get beaten by a Mustang!
