This book covers the start of the Korean war threw to the end and with a follow up on some of the POW's that where released much later as well as what possibly happened to the men that didn't.

The way the civilian people as well as the UN troops (US /British and other nationals) where treated is explored well and there are some very sad and traumatic first hand accounts from the survivors. Some truly amazing accounts that help you understand what they went through and how they escaped capture because as the book title say's its about the Atrocity's that happened and this help the reader threw the most upsetting parts.

There's some interesting now released official secret documents the show of what the respective governments knew but could not prove, that captured UN POW's where taken to China and Russia but where never seen again.

An interesting read

read this book in a matter of days. tells of the plight of captured pows in korea and what a harsh experience it was. couldn't put it down. one of those books that leaves you with a a taste of anger at the human race
