Product Description

Product Description

This work demonstrates how perception of risk is the key element to successful options trading. It shows traders how to calculate risk on any option position, eliminate inappropriate risks, adjust positions as the underlying market changes, and optimize the potential of the option positions.

From the Author

A valuable resource for retail speculators and hedgers.
I set out to write the bible of options market making, a book that can withstand the test of time in the ever-changing financial environment. It has been very gratifying to see how much my book has helped traders in their careers. About 80% of it has proven to be beneficial to retail traders, especially those who follow the reading assignments that I have posted on my web site (www.riskfixer.com). It steers the retail trader away from the more intense market making concepts. There is, however, a healthy dose of the market maker perspectives conveyed, in order to stretch the conceptual awareness of options for retail speculators and hedgers. This is done for the simple reason that it is not always best to get out of the exact position that one has gotten into with options. Many times it is better to adjust the position by spreading it off against other options. Having a simple and clear understanding of a complicated (market maker type) position can mean the difference between success and failure.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must have options text., 18 Aug 2003
This book is well written and goes far beyond the traditional options tome. If you can't get a copy, stop trading options and futures until you can.

5.0 out of 5 stars First Option book for professional Market Makers, 13 Sep 1998
By A Customer
An option book that provides both - theory & practical insights into option trading and making two sided markets. It is also a great help in understanding and organizing risk while trading options as a professional. A great book for new and seasoned traders as well as risk managers.
