Product Description

Review

"This is a book that each person concerned about staying healthy should absolutely read."
- Dominique Lapierre
""The Spirit of Homeopathic Medicines" is full of witticisms and French esprit. Grandgeorge's puns and associations will appeal to those favoring concise homeopathic materia medica."
- Frans Vermeulen, M.D.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Beautiful Book!, 16 Dec 2003
By A Customer
I am currently a first year student of homoeopathy and trying to read as much as possible to gather a wide range of knowledge.I found this book to be extremely well written, easy to read and it provided a very clear picture of some of the lesser known aspects of the remedies.

The examples given are very useful, and I find the simplicity in the way Grandgeorge writes very refreshing! I find it very useful to use alongside my more detailed Materia Medicas.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone, particularly students, who would like to get a different angle on some of the rememdies.

5.0 out of 5 stars A beautiful attempt to define the essence of 300 different homeopathic remedies, 19 Mar 2009
This is a great book. Didier Grandgeorge's style is a joy to read, and hits the nail on the head a lot of the time. It is an impossible task to completely define the nature of a homeopathic remedy, as this medicine is a constantly evolving knowledge base - one only has to look at the "bullet point" style notes littering most entries in the materia medicas. Gradngeorge's own vast experience has enabled him to make a good attempt at it, better than many others. The study of homeopathy requires consultation of different books and schools of thought to get as accurate a picture as possible, and this book is an extremely valuable tool in that process. The spirit and sheer joy in this book are wonderous to behold :) headlines like "Graphites: I could have been a Diamond" just make my heart melt... so true, so true... a brilliant book.
