Unless you find something that you can't do with Delphi, this book will be no good to you. If you do buy it, you can look forward to clear, consice examples of how to use the Win32 API.

I have to admit that before I bought this book I was completely clueless of the Win32 API... after a few days of using it I understood many of the concepts that revolve around Delphi and the Win32.

A lot of what's printed in the book is copied directly from the Win32 help file, which is pretty disappointing considering those pages could have been used for examples or undocumented features.

If you want to learn how Delphi is linked to the Win32, this is definitely the book to use. I wonder about the 2nd one... :)

The book contains very good examples in object pascal. If this book can comes with more examples and all APIs without using Delphi 3 (just Delphi) as the title in the next edition, it will attract lot more readers. And, for those good writters.....how about a Delphi book dedicated to MIDAS (multi-tiered distributed programming in general)?
