Read this book to understand why Linda Howard fans just can't get enough of her work. This was the first Howard book i ever read, i picked it up in a library Six years ago and became an instant fan. The story is one you won't put down until you have finished the last page, and you will definatly re-read it. The book is about Reese and Maddy, he's soured on love but thinks it's time he took a wife, he posts an ad, she answers, they meet, it's lust at first site for him love for her, against his better judgment they marry, this is all at the start of the book and then the fun starts.The book contains other characters only briefly, this book is Reese and maddys story and it makes you laugh out loud in parts. This book is not a sloppy love story the characters are both very strong and intelegent people and totally believable which is why i think it is one of her best.

I love all Linda Howard books and was not disappointed in this one [ have yet to find one i don't like]
If this is your first LH book go on and read as many of the others as your can find - i like the way many of her books are part of small serieses and you can catch up on characters in the next book about other members fo the family
Her books have a bit of everything
if you like the "family" as the center of the book as too her other more Thiller books then make sure you also read the Mackenzie series
