5.0 out of 5 stars Easy, but not trashy., 6 Sep 2000
By A Customer
This is as fluffy as a magazine article - and I don't mean a good magazine article, like Esquire, I mean something like, oh I don't know, TV Times. No, maybe Radio Times. It is, however, deeply fascinating. It makes you weep, as a Brit, for all the television David E Kelley has written that we'll never get to see, stuff that Americans rave about like Picket Fences. And you think about them burying the Practice (which features guest appearances by Ally Mc Beal, AS Ally Mc Beal - don't worry I'm not confusing actress and character) and the BBC throwing away Chicago Hope by putting 4 episodes a week on, in the middle of the night. Kelley emerges as a fascinating talent, a workaholic, and a genuine original. It makes you want to see all his shows, it makes you want to resee the ones you've seen. If you've already got Ally in your blood, this'll just take you into true addict territory. But don't expect any intellectual analysis - this is for everyone.
