5.0 out of 5 stars A classic Conrad protagonist - uncomprehending and romantic, 31 Aug 1999
By A Customer
Although Arrow of Gold is frequently seen as a minor work, not meriting comparison with Nostromo and Under Western Eyes, this semi-autobiographical study illuminates both Conrad's early life as a gun-runner and also the intense experience of an ingenuous youth falling in love.
