I do enjoy Kay Hooperss/Bishop's series but this book for me was not as expected the cover states that this is Hollis's story but I felt that she was overshadowed by Diane/Quentins relationships troubles. Hollis and Reese, who we met in the previous book don't really even have a coversation about a relationship until the last 1/8th of the book. I always expect a love story to evolve in theses books and even though the crime story line is usually pretty graphic the author normally delivers This book lacked the love angle the previous book had. I would recommend to any readers that they need to read the two previous books Blood Dreams and Blood Sins before reading this novel to understand the complexities of the villian they are fighting.
I will continue to purchase books in the series because I still want to know how the characters evolve especially after the trauma at the end of the book but for me this one will sit on my bookshelf only to complete the series so far. I hope the next book is better
