5.0 out of 5 stars A saga that needs Clint Eastwood in the movie, 24 Aug 2006
By Nick "Teacherman" (Leicester UK) - See all my reviews
A nervous mouse (Geronimo) and his entourage arrive in an unwelcoming desert town of Catus Creek City. a series of accidents leads to the cowardly Geronimo having to face off Mick Muscle Mouse. Understandibly Geronimo is not happy. Accidents again ensue and Geronimo becomes the victor. This leads him to be volunteered to save the the town from the bullying Cowrat Wicked Whiskers who is holding the town's water to ransom for lots of gold. Feeling as though the town needs a leader Geronimo reluctantly accepts the challenge, this unites the townsfolk and en route to meet the challenge, Geronimo starts to like the life of a cowrat. Meeting the challenge to ride and tame Bessie the angry bull is resolved by the observation and intelligence of his cousin Ben. The coward wins the day, whicked whiskers is vanquished and leaves with his tail between his legs. A wonderfully illustrated tale that my 8 year old son chose to review for his holiday homework. A good moral tale of how the bully is beat without violence.
