I read this book back in the early 80's as a child and never forgot it. Then many years later through Amazon, I had the chance to buy it and re-read as an adult and still found it just as entertaining.

This book is part of the Lewis Barnavelt series but focuses on his friend Rose Rita and his neighbour Mrs Zimmerman as they have an adventure of their own. Filled with old feuds, witchy spells, and many twists and turns this is a wonderful book for children and adults alike.

This book was written a long,long time before Harry Potter even existed but is certainly from the same genre and it's a credit to Bellairs that he had the skill and talent to create such unique and special books. I recommend that you read them all!

I reccomend this book to anyone who likes a good scare!!!!!!!! Instead of Lewis having the adventure, Rose Rita is!
