Product Description

From the Inside Flap
Sinclair Wallace was about to find out who he really was, even if he didn't want to know.

Thrust brutally out of his comfort zone at work he's been made to manage public relations for a banker caught with his pants down and a crazed scientist who wants to clone Jesus. His girlfirend thinks he's associated with a secret network that's getting away with murder, and old schoolfriend Hugh McIsaac reappears to tell him the Scots are the lost tribe of Israel.

How can Sinclair escape from all this madness? And why do all roads lead to Rosslyn Chapel?

If you enjoyed Dan Brown's 'The Da Vinci Code' or Ian Rankin's 'Rebus' thrillers you'll love Rosslyn Blood.

About the Author

He has starred in pantomime and in the Millennium production of 'A Satire of the Three Estates'. He lives in Edinburgh and works for the University of Glasgow.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Read, 3 May 2005
I have just finished this book and thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots of references to nice parts of Edinburgh and a gripping plot. Anyone interested in Rosslyn and the Knights Templar will love this. I couldn't put it down and was totally enthralled. I can't wait for the second novel.

5.0 out of 5 stars Leaves Dan Brown standing, 11 May 2005
I read this book in one sitting, and it's particularly good if you've read the Da Vinci Code. You can't help but feel for the anti-hero, Sinclair Wallace, who seems to get everything wrong, poor chap. Definitely a good read: the Da Vinci Code sold something like 17 million copies, and this book will probably not be far behind.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rosslyn Blood-y Marvellous, 15 Aug 2006
If the Da Vinci Code is an American Blockbuster, then Rosslyn Blood is BBC Comedy Drama serial - ie it has a sense of proportion and a sense of humour, unlike the former.

In chronicles the life of Sinclair Wallace as he goes on a voyage of undiscovery, realising with only mild outrage that the word is indeed generally as crap as he thought it was.

Sim guides us with a steady hand through an intricate plot, weaving his characters into the texture of the book in such a way that nothing seems unlikely, just bloody typical. The scenes, like the characters, are real and vivid, and sometimes frighteningly true to life.

There is no false drama, no cheap cliffhangers, and yet the book is every bit as dramatic and gripping as it's more famous rival.

As for the denoument - I can only say, Don't, whatever you do, try this at home...

3.0 out of 5 stars A fair effort
I can't quite share the same enthusiasm for 'Rosslyn Blood' as some of the other reviewer's but it is still a pretty good read. Read more
