5.0 out of 5 stars Matter of Fact and common sense, 24 Nov 2005
By Levijaya (Switzerland) - See all my reviews
I have been reading this book in 5 - 10 minute 'windows' of time, whilst running around after 3 children, and it is easy to read under such circumstances. No long tedious paragraphs, but bright quick ideas and cartoons. The authors have hit the tv/video/dvd dilemma on the head - all parents love them, but we need to restrain ourselves! The advice given is sensible, practical and easy to follow: they are not suggesting that we ignore all media sources, merely use them to our advantage and for the future advantage of our little darlings. I am planning to give this to all good friends for Xmas! Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Model Solutions For a Modern Problem, 3 Oct 2005
By A Customer
Buy this book for practical help on teaching your child responsibility in a world where the media has an almost overwhelming effect on our lives. Todays parents are the first generation to have to deal with the emphasis on modern media. Essential reading dealing with early television watching and and on through potential problems later on in childhood.
