Kubert Fans are unlikely to be disappointed with this collection of DC's 6-part series in graphic novel format. Joe's fabulous, gritty artwork, unrestrained now by the comics code, still remains unsurpassed in the genre of war comics. What's all the more remarkable is that Joe was eighty years of age when these stories first appeared in 2006. A man still at the peak of his profession, long after most of us will have given up any notion of serious work. Yet the quality of Joe's artistry remains undiminished from when 'The Rock' first appeared on US newstands over 50 years ago. As for 'The Prophecy' - well the storyline may be a bit thin but please don't judge it by that yardstick. Just look upon it as yet another worthy testament to one of the greatest comic artists of the post-war era, a true master of his trade.
