I bought Global Frequency 1-6 and Global Frequency: Detonation Radio - issues 7-12, after reading about it in a Joss Whedon interview. When reading them, I was made up to read something that was new [to me] in terms of storylines and action and just stuff that they were talking about that I didn't have a clue about beforehand, and exciting because there was actually a feeling of unpredictability compared to when you read regular comics and you know a certain character will survive, but in these issues, anyone could die. I also liked the different story angles that were utilised, for example people invading the frequency headquarters and Aleph being the one to be on the global frequency, and also the fact that each issue you kind of got a little bit of sense of who Miranda Zero and Aleph were, but also not really knowing who they are.

I recommend that people purchase these, as they will make your day, unless you are doing something better like going up in a hot air balloon.

Warren Ellis, the genius, has handed us yet another stunning story with the Global Frequency run. Both graphic novels are simpy brilliant. The ideas behind it are exceptional and he brings it together with such talent that you really believe there could be a Global Frequency out there, 1001 members and all.
If you like comics, especially when they are a welcome break from the norm, this and Ellis' other Wildstorm work is a MUST have without a doubt. Your bookshelf needs this. 'Nuff said
