Product Description

Synopsis

Secrets of the Serpent: In Search of the Sacred Past by Philip Gardiner Across time and across the world, an ancient serpent cult once dominated mankind. Then a great battle ensued and Christianity stamped it's authority on the face of the planet. Now, after years of research, the real religious history of the world can be told. In Secrets of the Serpent, Philip Gardiner for the first time reveals the world's most mysterious places were once sacred to the Serpent Cult. The history and mythology of the so-called reptilian agenda and alien visitation in ancient times now has a solid opponent - giving answers for the many symbols and myths often confused by those who believe in such things. In Secrets of the Serpent, the author reveals the real "bloodline" spoken of by Dan Brown in the Da Vinci Code- it was in fact a serpent bloodline. Philip Gardiner is the international best selling author of The Shining Ones, The Serpent Grail, Gnosis: The Secret of Solomon's Temple Revealed and Proof - Does God Exist? He has appeared on hundreds of radio and television programs worldwide speaking on religion and propaganda. He has infiltrated various secret societies and been initiated into Orders many people had thought were long forgotten.

Committed to the constant struggle to uncover the real history of mankind and the unraveling of manipulative propaganda, he has come up against many obstacles and yet in his book, The Serpent Grail he reveals a truth about the Holy Grail that gained the backing of academia and scholars. The truth shall be found in the Secrets of the Serpent

2.0 out of 5 stars Good guesswork, 1 Jun 2007
I was looking forward to some really well researched info. I was rather disappointed to find that many of the topics in this book were researched only superficially and the author did not have much knowledge of Hebrew or more historical facts to back his claims. It is clear that by studying Hermetic Laws and the Qabalah you find there are 2 serpents. One is righteous and one is evil. Similar to the Left and Right pillars on the Tree of Life. This author confuses one with the other terribly leaving readers more confused than before. So who is God and who is the devil? It should still be clear and we should still walk away from this book with that understanding, but no we don't. We are left thinking that they are the same.

Levi is not related to or derived from Leviathan. The Hebrew for Levi means "joint" or Joined together" implying Unity which is a concept associated with Kether - the crown. Levi is as little connected to Leviathan as with Levi Jeans. However, Behemoth and Leviathan is closer to Azazel and the dragon (his big daddy) - see the book of Enoch for Azazel). Sorry Mr Gardiner, that was a long stretch and you blew it there. If you researched the Sepher Yetzirah you would probably understand it better.

There are 2 serpents, yes, One is the Nachash and the other is the Saraph - the fiery serpents in the Bible. You will find the Nachash was somehow connected to the serpent in the Tree in Eden of Genesis, later raised onto a pole in the desert to bring healing to those bitten by the fiery serpents, the saraph. An understanding of Gematria and perhaps the study of the Nag Hammadi (Apocryphon of John) will reveal some insights there incl the Nachash connected to Messiah. The Nachash is the good one and the saraph the bad one - as it speaks of judgement/torment.

Also worth noting that the Tree of Life and the 2 pillars are not mentioned, and this is a pity, as it somehow seems to pop up everywhere in all ancient civilisations. I even saw a vase in the British Museum from Mayan or Inca origin with the 2 serpents resembling a Cadduceaus wand (i.e. Hermes...) and this was pretty awesome.

Mr Gardiner, you would be wise to do some more research and perhaps edit some of the content. A lot of it is not exactly acurate.

5.0 out of 5 stars Shocking, 6 Dec 2006
This book is actually shocking. Gardiner challenges the history of the world as we know it, from Christianity to orthodox history. The remifications of what this author reveals are far reaching and I have to say will not be well-liked. That said what he has done is to uncover the serpent worship from our very past that was covered up by those afraid of a world with humans that have free minds. Some of the points would have had Gardiner shot in the last few centuries, but luckily we now have sufficient freedom to be able to write, produce and most of all read these kinds of books. I would recommend this work to anybody interested in the real history of the world; to those who believe in the supposed reptilian agenda of David Icke and to those who seek the true spiritual awakening of your mind. A dam good read.
