Product Description

Product Description

At last, a manager's book for tightening up the nuts and bolts of business. Just a twist of a wrench can literally change your world. Think, for a moment, about securing the bolts on an aircraft engine. The right tools and techniques are paramount. In business, it's the same. You need just the right business tools and know-how to be successful. This is a "go-do-it" book, not just more "how to" lessons. It's written by Kraig Kramers, an eight-time veteran CEO, who puts easy-to-use management tools directly in your hands to make more money and improve your individual success immediately. This book is about tools for tightening up the nuts and bolts in your business, tools to tune up performance with your customers, people, profits, productivity, and results -- plus tools for tuning up your own success as a manager.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent!, 19 May 2004
I was given this book and it has proven a godsend. Sensible pragmatic and realistic throughout, it can be readily anglicised and used. Actually used!!

This book brings together so many of the management theories and concepts you read of elsewhere and through the use of simple one page documents makes them easy to implement. For the first time ever, I actually stopped reading a management book to implement several of the tools, I could see how easily they could immediately make a big difference and did not want to wait.

If you like the One Minute Manager series and would like to know how to make them real - try this. I will be using this book as a reference manual for years.

Thank you Kraig and congratulations on an excellent excellent resource.

4.0 out of 5 stars Really Usefull Tips for New and Experienced Bosses, 8 Feb 2004
Kraig Kramer's book is full of good ideas for getting the best out of your people and your company. It is easy to read and generic enough for at least 50% of his ideas to be relevant to the readers's own business. Some of his examples of how to praise & reward people are a little "American" in their "over the top" sincerity for the European manager but that detracts little from the book. I would recommend any General Manager to read it, not just CEO's as the title suggests.
