Product Description

Product Description
This book presents the explosive theory that Jesus Christ survived the crucifixion, travelled across what was then known as Asia, took up residence in Kashmir, India, married, had children and lived to the ripe old age of 120 years. Thirty illustrations include original-language documents (Sanskrit, Tibetan, Persian) -- with accompanying English translations -- that clearly record the sojourn of Jesus Christ all throughout Asia/India. The book studies five branches of humanity that are involved in an intense struggle over the identity of Jesus Christ, and compares their perspectives. Those branches are: revisionist Christian scholars, traditional Christianity, Eastern religions and philosophies, the world of Islam, and atheists, agnostics and secular humanists. Also examined are the philosophical issues surrounding the subject of a post-crucifixion life of Jesus. It offers an intense and fascinating comparison between Eastern religion and philosophy on the one hand, and Western Christianity on the other. This thorough examination is perhaps as engaging, if not more so, as the actual documents that detail the travels of Jesus to Kashmir after the crucifixion.

5.0 out of 5 stars The read of your life!, 21 Feb 2004
By A Customer
This book quite literally can change lives. An alernative view of Jesus Christ and his life is portrayed in this text, backed up with endless references to historical dcouments and sources from which more can be learnt. The theory put forward in this book is a powerful one, and one that is appearing more widely.

This book has acual prints of ancienct documents and archeological finds that give very different evidence about Jesus' life and travels than those found in the Bible today. One most significant area is the examination and exploration of the consequences of the research in this book. This makes the importance of the whole quest for rigorously scrutinising the proposed theory clear to the reader.

Finally the author adds his own personal viewpoint and experiences, which are very deliberatly not brought in to matters earlier, and it ends the book very nicely. Reading this book was a spiritual journey as well as an historical search, and the conclusions were far more satisfactory than those put forward by more "orthodox" viewpoints.

Recently the BBC aired a program called "Did Jesus Die?" which presented much evidence that is to be found in this book. Anyone wishing to research the topic more having seen that film can be assured this book is a sound starting point.
