I bought this book hoping it would give me all kinds of tips and contacts for promoting my band - and it is true there are some useful entries BUT the bulk of the book is simply a list of website addresses which do not seem to have been vetted by the author because a huge percentage (possibly as high as 40%) are either defunct, or never existed or have nothing to do with music promotion - I even came across one hard-core porn site. This simply isn't good enough. Some of the articles at the back of the book (on topics such as marketing strategies, MP3.com, and management contracts, etc) are interesting but most are very general and are of the 'just believe in your dream and never give up' category. GIVE ME A BREAK - I want facts not waffle. There is scope for a really good book on this topic - this isn't it.
