5.0 out of 5 stars The Most Revealing Book on Hypnosis I've Ever Read, 1 Jun 2003
By A Customer
I've ready many books on the area of hypnosis and the mind, but this book is the most revealing ever...the combination of Ormond McGill and Tom Silver makes for stunning revelatations in this field and new ways of thinking that I have never heard of nor read about before...if anyone has any kind of interest in the subject of hypnotherapy, and/or the way that the human mind is organised, then this book should be at the top of your reading list...in the past, I've found that most books on hypnosis seemed to leave out something important(deliberately?) which I was never ever able to put my finger on - I just knew that something was missing...Read this book - and discover what was missing - discover everything!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good book, not so original, 28 Mar 2002
I have many literature on hypnosis. This I would say is an average book. If you have never read a hypnosis book, i give this 4 stars. If one has read many, it fails to provide any new and original material. Although it claims to talk about the scientific approach, it fails to go into depth about how it works, and would reccomend other books for this. However, if you are looking for a book on hypnosis, GET THIS ONE! It has all the info you need on hypnotising your friends, for sun, and to sure habits. Be a hit at your next party, or if you want to quit smoking...buy this book!

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, 15 Jan 2006
By A Customer
I was very disappointed with this book, and would give it a 'minus' score if I could.

The book starts relatively well, with a brief history of hypnotism, but quickly spirals into a poorly written set of instructions. The explanations of how hypnotism works are very scetchy, and for those who are interested, there is absolutley no scientific information either.

I thought this was an expensive mistake, and do not recommend you spend a single penny on it.
