In short....If you love your Beetle or Beetles in general then there is no reason why you wouldn't love this book! I know I love my Beetles (as if you couldn't tell) and I thought this book was absoloutely superb!! I was given a copy for my birthday from my boyfriend (hey he knows what I like!!) and I just haven't been able to put it down..(now wishes he hadn't bought it...I think he wants to know what the fuss is about!)

There are some incredibly funny stories and some equally sad and touching ones. it is really nice to know how loved the Beetle has always been and that there has always been crazy folk about! it was wonderful to share memories and realise how much one little car can mean to so many people...you see the Beetle move through adolescence, falling in love, marriage, dogs and then kids!

I'm gonna say it one more time coz' it really is a fab book! (makes a good Birthday prezzie for any Bug fan however big or small!)

Buy it, Read it, Love it, Share it, Then Buy the sequel (when it comes out!)

Picked the book up. Read it. Every word. Certainly didn't expect to, but the darn thing is infectious. I am not a Bug freak, not even a motor head. But I lived through the sixties and my own experiences with several Beetles. Mine were nowhere near as interesting and amusing as the yarns in this book. This is a great light read for anyone who can relate to the almost religious fervor that revolved around a really neat car.

I received my copy of this book in the mail the other day. One of my VW stories was accepted in the book. As I shared the book with family, friends and coworkers more stories came flooding in. I never knew so many of the people I know had somewhere somehow or someplace made a bug or VW bus a part of their young adulthood. "Bug Tales" is a great book because it keeps on going even after it is read. Hey this little book is much like the beetle itself.

Bugtales proves that the truth can indeed be stranger than fiction. You don't have to have had a bug as a member of your family to enjoy this book. Great reading!
