Mr. Sugiyama has produced yet another extraordinary text which not only dares to challenge the intelligent mind to suspend personal beliefs regarding human "energy (ki)", but also offers the reader/practitioner the opportunity to explore concepts thoroughly by presenting many different easy-to-understand exercises.

Carefully avoiding the route of over-loading the reader with information, Mr. Sugiyama combines common-sense organisation (The Table of Contents is located on the back cover for convenience!) with diagrams of superior clarity.

This is one of those rare martial arts publications that is absolutely intriguing, as well as academic in nature, and yet so practically delivered that even a kid can learn how to manifest their own "ki". It's quite unique and unparalleled.

I highly recommend this book to anyone, beginner or otherwise, regardless of their martial arts background.
