5.0 out of 5 stars a wonderful, clearly presented and thoroughly covered book., 12 Jul 2004
By A Customer
Hap Ki Do was another martial art I knew absolutely nothing about, and kind of took a chance on ordering this book. What a reward for taking this chance,as this books absolutely fantastic. The person who wrote it is an incrdibly respected, and talented master of this matial art. After a brief introduction into this art and its history, you are then into the techniqes. And what wonderful techniques they are. I must profess to not having much of chance to practice them yet, but after flicking the book through it is clear that you are about to learn something a bit special. What I like about Hap Ki do, is most of the moves seemed to be based around immobilising and locking the hands, and using the techniques to totally control and devastate your opponent. The book has moves a plenty to serve a broad range of situations. One thing's for sure there is plenty here to keep you more than busy for quite a time to come. I am very much looking forward to practicing and perfecting these moves, as well as buying other of this writer's works. However don't expect to learn them over night. They will take practice, patience and application, but with all these you will become quite proficient at using these methods in hostile situations. Woe betided your attacker.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best I have ever encountered, 30 Oct 1998
By A Customer
I have spent the majority of my life practicing various martial art forms. This is the best book I have encountered thus far. I have gone as far as enrolling my three daughters in his classes and started yet a new form myself - Hap-Ki-Do
