Lojban is a constructed language which has had a small committed following, since it was devised. Unlike Klingon and Elvish, it was not conceived as an adjunct to fiction. It does not resemble Esperanto, which was, I believe almost entirely constructed of European languages. Those who devised this language have stripped down the machinery of language to the nuts and bolts, and rebuilt it as logically and clearly as they could. The book itself expresses not difficult, rather unfamiliar, concepts clearly and gives a good, first overview of Lojban. It would be interesting to someone with an interest in language, to see how things could be done completely differently from any other language. The other Lojban book on offer, The Complete Lojban Language, gives a complete, detailed grammar, and I would read What Is Lojban? first.
